New York Central in Syracuse






This view is looking east at the New York Central passenger line beyond East Washington Street in Syracuse in the early 1930s, at the Erie Boulevard East underpass. This area was always prone to flooding. This was the original alignment of the Syracuse & Utica Railroad, opened in 1839. [CNYNRHS collection]
