Utica, Ithaca & Elmira Railroad Trestle at Brooktondale, N.Y.




 First U.I. & E. First train across the trestle over Six-Mile Creek on December 11, 1875. It took 75,000 feet of timber to build, was 1,600 feet long and 90 feet high. Banks were extended in 1889 when 850-foot iron bridge, below,  replaced it which was dismantled in 1936.
