I used to take photos of passing Erie steam locomotives from my bedroom window with a Kodak Baby Brownie Special camera. We resided in a house on NY Rt 17C about a mile east of Owego. The Erie tracks were a couple hundred feet across Route 17C and a small cow pasture. I could hear the locomotive blowing for the Front Street crossing in Owego so I knew a train was on the way. This an eastbound Erie train during the winter of 1950-1951. - Paul J. Templeton
