This was the grandest of the West Shore stations between New York and Buffalo. It was located in downtown Syracuse and was built in 1883 at the corner of North Franklin Street and West Belden Avenue. The New York Central discontinued using it as a passenger station in 1908. At one time Chenango branch trains arrived and departed from here. An accommodation train heading north on the RW&O stopped there when headed out of town. For many years trains to the New York State Fair operated out of here. A fire largely destroyed it in 1910.
